Good Sense

There isn't a person alive who does not have sense. If it can be argued that they do not have sense, then it may also be argued that they are not truly alive.

Everybody has sense. I'm using the word 'sense' here as in able to perceive. It is not necessarily intelligence in the form of logic, deduction, and analytical skills; but more in the form of able to perceive any type of change in their environment or themselves and to be able to respond to stimulus. 'Sense,' in the way I'm using it, can almost be synonymous with awareness or consciousness. Plants have been proven to have sense.

That being the case, it is no huge jump from that premise to the fact that we may all have more senses than we are used to acknowledging. Beyond the five sense that we are all quite familiar with (seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, and tasting); we have senses that are often overlooked. The way we are able to pick up on another person's energy or "vibe" is a good example. Even something as seemingly obvious as knowing what type of feeling a previously unheard of piece of music without lyrics is meant to convey, is a sense that goes far beyond simply hearing.

Although it is not in the usual definition of extra sensory perception (ESP), these senses that we have that go beyond our five senses are exactly that. They are extra in the way that they are beyond those particular modes of stimuli. Intuition is another form of this extra sense that is often overlooked or dismissed as coincidence.

Why do we all have this ability to sense beyond what we take in with our five senses? Because everybody is a spiritual being. We all have the ability to pick up on things outside of our physical selves because there is really nothing beyond our true Self. We are all connected. We are all one. The only reason why this is not our everyday experience is because of our identity, our point of view, our past experience, and where our attention is focused.

Holiday Spirit Is Spiritual

During this time of year, the idea of holidays help many people to allow them selves to experience high spirits. Christmas carols, the good times with friends and family, the spirit of good will and giving; the energy in the air is generally at a higher vibration. If feels great if you are open to it.

When people think of spirituality, they often get a picture or concept in their mind of a "holier than thou" kind of perspective or a way of being that has religious or righteous overtones. Funny enough, this is only a minuscule cross section of what spirituality actually is. Do you know who else is spiritual? Everybody!

If a person is alive, they have a spirit. If a person has a spirit, they are spiritual. It does not matter if they are aware of this or not. Spirituality is just a word. It draws upon a distinct idea or concept in the person who hears it. Any word can only convey to you what you are already familiar with. New concepts require new understanding and experience to grasp.

Everybody in existence is a spiritual being. It is our very nature. Don't take my word for it. If you have or ever had the holiday spirit, you have experienced a little bit of what it feels like to have your spirit on a higher frequency.

Of course, there are lots of other times in your life you have experienced this as well. Any time you are feeling peace, joy, love, gratitude, etc.; these are higher frequencies of spirit. There have also been times where you have felt your spirits at very low frequencies. This is any time you are having feelings of hate, fear, stress, pain, jealously, etc..

To recognize, understand, and embrace the fact that we are all spiritual beings is very beneficial and empowering. A person can change every single aspect of their life. A person can come to know lasting peace and reach heights not previously imagined. For more on this, read What Is Really Good? and stay tuned!

The Illusion

Many philosophers have pondered the nature of reality and often questioned if it is real or merely an illusion. Albert Einstein said, "Reality is an illusion, albeit a persistent one." The ancient teachings in many spiritual scriptures and religions refer to our reality as an illusion as well. Hinduism, to name one, refers to this illusion as 'Maya'.

What is it about the nature of reality that could possibly have philosophers, religions, and science all in agreement? What raises doubt of the authenticity of what we experience our universe to be?

Dreams are an excellent clue to point to the fact that we may experience a reality that is not necessarily real. In the middle of a dream, we are convinced that it is real and we react to everything as if we are physically going through it. In fact, the dream is real. It is just as real as your waking life in the moment you are experiencing it. When you realize that reality is all created in your brain, the source of the stimulus is irrelevant. The end result is exactly the same. Whether you are actually walking down a country road in the physical world or you are dreaming that you are doing so, the electrical activity in your brain is virtually identical. In other words, your brain does not know the difference.

From the scientific point of view, when you examine what the physical world is made of, you will come to realize that it is made of mostly empty space and energy. Matter that was once thought of as solid is actually mostly "not there". What is there is merely vibrating energy. On top of these mind boggling facts, it has also been documented that the act of observing and the intention of the observer actually influence what is being observed. In other words, we shape this vibrating energy.

Spiritual teachings have been speaking of this now scientifically documented information for thousands of years. However, today it is easier than ever to connect the dots. It is easier than ever to inform yourself and see through this illusion that we all live in. It is easier than ever to awaken from this dream.

Why I Started This Blog

I have had a tremendous awakening. It is more of an indescribable experience that is hard to capture in words. The concept of a spiritual awakening has never been foregin to me because of the conscious atmosphere and teachings my parents exposed me to as a child. It is, on the other hand, an entirely different existence when this knowledge goes from just conceptual, to your experience of life.

As a result of this all pervasive paradigm shift, I have a level of clarity to fulfill my purpose and share with all who will listen, the rewards of knowledge of self, adaptability to what is, and the power of your focus. A life free from any kind of stress is worth sharing.

Label me as you wish, but I am not asking you to believe anything that I say. The observations, insights, and revelations I will be speaking about have been my own personal experience even if at times the catalyst for the experience was another person. In the majority of theses posts, it is best to use your own senses, experience, and intuition to determine the validity. In other words, don't take my word for it; use your common sense.

I started this blog to spread the light of conscious consciousness as far and wide as I can right now. My own experience is still expanding, but with what I know right now, I can literally help you to never suffer again.

Much more to come. For now I leave you with an excerpt from my book, "What Is Really Good?"

The conscious awareness varies in degrees; more dominant at times and more subtle at others. I know that I can never return to a state of total unconsciousness where my awareness is not present.

When I'm in a higher degree of awareness, I can feel the utter sacredness of everything. It is a sensation of being aware of your own vision and senses while simultaneously feeling there is a greater force, presence, or power that is seeing through your eyes and operating your body. The result is an experience of heightened perception. The world is viewed with a new wonder and everything seems brand new as if you are truly seeing things for the first time. There is a new appreciation for nature and everything else for that matter. You realize the beauty usually looked over and the simple everyday miracles that are all around; the stunning display of color in flowers, the way a bird soars through the air, a rainbow in the mist.

The greater force or presence that is noticeably behind your perception during a time of a higher degree of awareness feels pure, exalted, divine, regal, joyful, peaceful, holy, and sacred; and yet none of these words fully describes it. You can't help but feel that everything you lay your eyes on has the same feeling and qualities of sacredness as your true self. Even what you can't see, the very atmosphere, the empty space has this feel about it.

Later I thought, "How can anything that the Infinite lays his eyes on be anything but holy, and sacred?"

As time goes on, the consciousness keeps growing. It arises on it's own without the effort of focusing my awareness. It is becoming a permanent part of my perception. Every single day is a gift.
I see things happen that I know I attracted to me just as a result of being in tune.

There is no suffering, sadness, worry, or dread. There is only a range of feelings from contentment to joy to blissfully ecstatic.

I have continuing insights, revelations, inspiration, and the like. I am constantly seeing the truth in different forms and concepts. I realize that all creative processes and innovations come from that universal intelligence; the space before and after actual thought. Our appreciation for all talent, beauty, heroism, generosity; basically all things considered positive; comes from the universal intelligence through us; whether we are conscious of it or not.
