The Quiet Majesty

Can you feel it?

The quiet majesty that is always with you. It is always with you and yet you will not notice it unless you are there with yourself.

You will be unable to feel or acknowledge it unless you are willing to become aware that you have awareness. Becoming conscious of your consciousness, you will become aware of your own presence.

This is the presence that is always with you. This is the presence before your personality. It is the space that allows your personality to exist. This presence is the true essence of you.

This is the silence before any thought or emotional impression. It is the silence that allows such things to rise and subside with in it. This silence is the true essence of you.

This silent presence, once truly felt and acknowledged, feels very peaceful, calm, confident, regal, and majestic. This is the Quiet Majesty within. This majestic silence is you.

Be Mine

"Be mine, Valentine."
From these words alone, we can already see the dysfunction in the traditional view of romance.

The concept of possession is an extension of a person's identity. If an object belongs to you, in some way, shape, or form, it is an attachment. It becomes part of the ego identity. This is why all possessions are able to bring pleasure or pain.

Somehow, unconditional love has gotten all confused with attachment and possession. This gives rise to the illusion of a lack of love or feelings that oppose love. Love is our nature. There is no opposite or lack unless we are looking through the warped perception of the ego mind. It is only here that any loved one can be or do anything for us to feel a lack of love for them.

When we say, "Be mine," we are setting up a condition that will result in us feeling bad if it is not met. This condition says if you are mine and you stick to the concept I have in my mind of what it means to be mine, everything is great. But if you are not mine, then I will not love you and because I am still attached to you, I will feel pain. How crazy is that?

When we can let go and just love unconditionally, we are free.

Can You Feel It?

I can feel it.

Feeling is part of your perception. You can really only use your perception in the present moment. When people acknowledge that they can feel something, they are being conscious.

My definition of conscious is being aware of being aware. In other words, if you can take notice of yourself taking notice of anything; you are conscious.

Have you ever noticed that when you feel something you may experience it and not actually acknowledge that you experience it? For example, you may be wearing very comfortable clothing or shoes. You can completely overlook the fact that these garments are being felt by you right now because they are very easy on your body. But reading this or maybe someone else giving you a compliment on what you are wearing may bring your awareness back to the fact that you are feeling your clothes all the time and that you are simply overlooking it. When you have the awareness that allows you to feel the light sensation of the clothes on your skin; you are conscious of your clothes in that moment.

'I can feel it,' is a statement of consciousness even if the person saying it is not conscious that they are being conscious. When this is the case, I call it 'unconscious consciousness.'

When people acknowledge that they can feel something, they are being in the present moment (whether they are conscious of it or not). Just as illustrated above, you can be in contact with something and not really feel it. This is because your mind is preoccupied with thought. You are not truly there in the moment. Your attention must be there for you to really feel it. Since anything that you feel must be touching you at the time you feel it; anything you feel is in the present moment.

You can feel with more than physical contact. Touch is only one of our sense perceptions. Bringing more awareness to what you are aware of enhances your consciousness. When you bring more awareness to your perception as a whole, you can really feel the present moment and everything in it that you give your attention to.

You can feel it.

My Life

My life is all I have. Because I am life.

When I say 'my life', I'm not referring to the details of the situations that I experience. I know that's what people traditionally think of as their lives, but those circumstances and situations are really just a story (regardless of the validity of the truth to it). My life is really how I feel.

The way we feel is really what determines the quality of life no matter what's going on. It defines our lives. It is first and foremost over any circumstance or situation.

You already know this because you have seen very happy people with very little and very depressed people with lots of material wealth. The only true wealth is how we feel in the present moment. We can not save or store this wealth. We must continuously give it our attention in order to retain it.

It's funny how we get caught up in so many other things besides the way we feel when the way we feel is always the goal of the other things we worry about.
-If we are worried about money, it is because we think we won't have enough to feel the way we want to feel.
-If we worry about romance, it is because we think we won't be able to feel the way we want to feel.
-You name it... it all boils down to the way we think it will make us feel!

My life is all I have. Because I am life.
Your life is all you have. Because you are life.
Everything else is something you allow yourself to feel one way or another about.
Consciously choose to feel appreciation.

Quality of Life

Ever notice how people often confuse the amount of money people can spend with the quality of life they have? The misconception of the amount of money one has and quality of life is a common one.

Notice how a dollar amount can never truly be attached to what actually affects your quality of life. The way you feel at a particular moment is really what defines the quality of your life in that moment.

Excitement, exhilaration, enthusiasm, joy, and peace are a few of the feelings you can have that bring the quality of your experience of life way up. A person can be dead broke and still feel these feelings. A person can be extremely wealthy and still be depressed. You determine the quality of your life in any given moment.

Yes, it is definitely true that more money allows you more choices in life, but it does not determine the quality. Realizing how to feel great more times than not will actually attract more money to you. A happier you is the best and most expensive gift you can give to yourself.

Feel The Love

Have you ever received a message, a gift, a letter, or any kind of reminder from another that made you really feel the intent of love with in it? I'm talking about that feeling of being filled with love to the point of overflowing from with in.

This has happened to me recently. It brought to light the realization that we can only ever feel what is already with in us. We always already have what ever we feel.

In other words, the fact that we can receive only a material reminder that can act as a trigger to release such great feelings within makes it only too obvious that the source of love was not external, but internal.

It can be likened to a faucet that we have inside. When opened, this faucet will flow out an infinite amount of love. This "love tap" is totally under our control, but we do not have control over it until we become conscious of it. While aware of it's existence, we can feel this unending flow of love overflowing with in us. While unaware of it, we unconsciously squeeze off the flow, believing the source to be external.

Ever realize that no matter how much they try, no one can actually make you feel their love? Some one can attempt to give you the world and unless you are in the right mood, you will not appreciate it. Once again, the source of all love realized by a conscious being is internal.

You only feel what is already there!

The only reason why you do not feel it at times is because you are closing off the faucet that would be gushing at full pressure all the time. The only way we manage to do this is to lose consciousness of this fact. And the only way we lose consciousness of this is to be overly influenced by the individual ego identity, getting caught up and trapped in the external illusion.

Don't think. Feel. Feel the love.

Take A Good Look

What are you? What animates you? What is consciousness? Have you really taken a good look at the amazing phenomenon that is your life force? It isn't really something you can see, so maybe 'look' isn't the perfect word to describe giving this force attention. There aren't really too many other words to describe observing your consciousness though. It is 'looking;' only not so much with your eyes.

It is more of a shifting of your focus to the very feeling of your awareness. It is to be in the presence of your own presence. It is to acknowledge, with your attention, the very act of acknowledgment.

If you have never noticed your own life force or bothered to give it much attention, there are several ways to give it a try. One of the easiest ways is to focus on the silence that is always there around you. This silence exists before, during, and after every sound you hear. It is even part of loud noise and music. To bring your attention to this silence is to feel your very perception and awareness of sound.

It also works just as well to bring your attention to the space that frames everything around you. It may at first seem as if all the things that surround you frame the space that sits within it, but it is always the space that allows all objects to exist within it. To be able to notice and feel this space is to feel your very perception and awareness of matter.

Maybe even more effective, bringing your attention to the fact that you are breathing may help you to be more aware of your life force. When focused on your breath, your attention is in direct contact with your life force.

There are many other ways to focus your mind on the essence of your life force, but they all have the same results when done effectively. They all slow or still the constantly thinking mind. They allow you to look out at the world and in on yourself at the same time. They allow you to feel the very alertness and awareness that is your consciousness.

The benefit is a reduction or elimination of stress since the large majority of stress is created by the constant thought stream of the mind. You will become more relaxed and detached from anything that might have gotten you bent out of shape before. You will start to feel the underlying peace that is always with you. You may also come to realize many other benefits as well.

Perish The Thought

Just the thought of something can affect you. You know this without me ever mentioning it. When you really give that fact the attention it deserves on a regular basis, it is amazing what you start to realize.

Keeping a watch on what you think about and on your awareness in general can actually keep you healthier. Not only can disease in the body have psychosomatic causes, your very own experience of mood, and general well being, are always under the influence of what you are focused on.

You can have the placebo effect on your entire being by constantly bringing your focus back to a 'center of stillness' and observing everything in the moment. It is in this kind of state that it becomes much easier to 'perish any thoughts'.

Feel Undefeated!

How do I feel? I feel undefeated!

To feel undefeated is an awesome feeling and it serves so many more purposes than just feeling good. It is an affirmation of life. It is the 'YES' to your reality. It is total acceptance. It is an attitude that makes life and all situations with in it, your friend. It is an attitude of gratitude. It puts the wind at your back and a pep in your step. It is a feeling that can't be bought with any amount of money; but ironically, it is free.

Whether or not you actually ever lost is up to you. You are the author of your life story. What you feel determines your experience. If you feel undefeated, you in fact are undefeated! People often loose, even when they win. Being of a pessimistic perspective, they always see the down side of things. When you really realize that even the "losses" and "bad" things in life are actually moving you toward greater states of being and greater situations, you can not help but to feel undefeated.

To still be here right now after any and every difficulty you have experienced is already a tremendous feat to acknowledge. Even more, you have the spirit to be reading this. That is something to congratulate yourself about.

Getting a little deeper; it is impossible for you to be defeated. The true essence of who you are can never be defeated. It is only the identity that the ego upholds that can ever take a loss. You are shatter proof. You are the spirit of a winner. You are the soul of a champion. You are the heart of undefeated consciousness.

Feeling undefeated is such a high. Why not acknowledge that you are undefeated on a regular basis?

The Best Things In Life Are Free

Most of us have heard this saying many times. Some of us agree with it and some do not. Let us take a good look at the validity of this saying.

Many people believe that the best things in life can be bought. If you have huge sums of money; you can, in fact, have anything you want in the material world. You can have the best things the material world has to offer. This brings up the question: Is the best that the material world has to offer the best that life has to offer?

Considering the fact that life is not a material thing, how can something material be the best it has to offer? To clarify; you, yourself are life. You do not have a life. You are not living a life. You are life! The true essence of your being, the consciousness that animates your body; it is life itself. It is who you truly are. Realizing that you are of spirit and not material; how can something material be the best you have to offer yourself?

To put it even more clearly; consider the fact that experience and not material is what dictates the nature of life. To illustrate: what would you rather do? Would you rather have the experience of having and doing what ever you like, when ever you like, with who ever you like and never actually own anything; or would you rather live a stress filled life knowing full well that you are among the wealthiest people in the world? The key word here is experience.

The best things in life are intangible. That is why they are free. The best thing in life is life. You can not reach out and touch experience. You can not buy experience. Money does not allow you be in high spirits all the time. Only your perspective can allow you this luxury. Your perspective is free. It is only a matter of choice.

It Is Unstoppable. Can't Stop - Won't Stop

Is it possible for the present moment to stop? Is it possible for what is referred to as 'right now' to not be in existence?

Even if the Earth stopped spinning and stopped its orbit; even if every single heavenly body in the cosmos ceased all movement; if every single sub atomic particle stopped in its tracks; the present moment would still be running. The tape would still be rolling, so to speak. If the universe ceased to exist, the now would still be the now.

It is truly a marvel when one considers the fact that no matter what could possibly ever happen; the present moment has always been, and will forever be going. In any possible situation out of a multitude of infinite possibilities, the present moment is the constant that must be included in each.

Since the present is such an unstoppable constant, the best thing to do is to use it to your advantage. Roll with it. Acknowledge how much power dwells with in the moment. When you can literally feel the present moment, you can feel your own presence. Feeling your own presence is feeling the present moment.

You Gotta Laugh!

Ever thought about what laughter really is? What is it that makes us laugh? Why does it feel so good? Why does it have healing qualities? How or what makes it such a universal experience? Well, your in luck. Here's some food for thought.

It has been stated in many philosophies and spiritual teachings that one's experience in life is all dependent on their chosen perspective. Don't take mine or any one else's word for it. Simply look at your own life and you will have no choice but to acknowledge this truth.

To be a little more specific though, a person's perspective can be split into two main groups. The first is acceptance. This has many degrees or levels of intensity to it. Acceptance may range any where from simple contentment to ecstatic bliss. The second group would be resistance. This too has many degrees or levels. Resistance may range from minor irritations and low level background stress to major life and identity threatening, pain and stress. Acceptance of what is leads to adaptability to any situation and the perspective that allows one to be optimistic and feel good if not great. Resistance of what is leads to stress of varying degrees.

So what does all of this have to do with laughter? Laughter is a very high form of acceptance. It is one of the strongest and most evident ways we acknowledge that we are in acceptance of what is. Think about what actually makes us laugh. No matter what your sense of humor is like, people always laugh at what they are willing to accept. Resistance to life situations crumble before the power of laughter.

To illustrate this, think about a good comedian's material. A good comedian can make people laugh at some of the toughest and/or most awkward situations a person can go through. People often say, "It's funny because it's true." When you really look at it, the comedian is making light of a situation that a lot of people would be in resistance to. He or she is literally relieving the stress of resistance and replacing it with a high dose of acceptance. This is why laughter feels so good. When people are in any form of acceptance, they tend to feel good. The higher the form of acceptance, the better you feel. When we laugh at any incident or situation in life, there is a feeling of lightness or levity. We acknowledge what it is and at the same time embrace it with all of its ramifications, consequences, and repercussions. It is your spirit showing how it can really adapt to anything possible.

Being in good spirits of any kind is always good for a person when it comes to their health. It has been continuously proven how stress is the main reason our bodies succumb to sickness. Even the word "disease" points to this fact. 'Dis-ease' is lack of ease, better known as stress. Of course a high dose of acceptance is a major stress reliever and goes far beyond that to the process of healing.

Laughter is such a universal experience because we all have the spark of life known as Consciousness within us. It is what animates each and every one of us. It is the Observer before thought, labeling, and judgment. Therefore, the choice as to how we perceive our experience is universal. It is always a choice of resistance or acceptance. Laughter, among many other perspectives and emotions, does not discriminate.

So have you had a good laugh lately? Sometimes you can have the best laugh just observing your own self and how you might react to some life situations. Attitude and perspective is everything. You gotta laugh. :-D

Aliveness

Aliveness. The very feeling of life itself.

Aliveness is perceiving and observing all experience being generated by your senses. The interpretation of the experience is only a reaction to aliveness and should not be mistaken for the aliveness itself.

Aliveness listens to all thought in silence. Aliveness watches everything patiently. It is the part of you that lets you know what you dreamed after you woke up.

Can you feel your aliveness?

Can you feel your very presence? Can you feel the essence of your awareness? Can you feel your own energy or vibe?

Aliveness is usually overlooked. If you give it attention, you grow more alive. Don't take my word for it. See for yourself.
